~ Purpose ~

Port State Control (PSC) involves the inspection of foreign ships in national ports to verify that the condition of the vessel and its equipment complies with applicable international regulations and that the ship is properly manned and operated in accordance with established standards. PSC inspections play a vital role in identifying deficiencies that may compromise vessel safety, environmental protection, or the safety of the crew.
