Permit to Work (PTW) - ONLINE

~ Purpose ~

High-risk operations and activities that may compromise safety or deviate from established safety procedures require a formal Permit to Work (PTW). Different types of work require specific permits, each subject to defined requirements for preparation, authorisation, implementation, and closure. This course provides an overview of the Permit to Work system and explains how it supports hazard identification, risk control, and the safe execution of work activities.

~ Objectives ~

Participants will learn to identify tasks that require a Permit to Work and understand the roles and responsibilities of all involved parties, including the persons in charge. The course covers the correct procedures for completing, issuing, authorising, managing, and closing permits, as well as verifying that required safety measures are in place. Particular emphasis is placed on the effective implementation of the Stop Work Authority policy, adherence to safe working practices, and the importance of preventing unsafe acts and conditions throughout the work process.
