~ Purpose ~
The role of the meteorological observer has grown crucial in the oil and gas sector. It has been demonstrated that a more accurate weather report provided by a qualified meteorological observer has improved flight safety records. The present weather at the helideck must be described in a radio message weather report that meteorological observers are expected to produce.
~ Objectives ~
The course’s objective is to make sure that meteorological observers can accurately assess and report on the weather state. Pre-flight weather reports from meteorological observers are required; pilots use these reports to prepare for their flights.
